Clarity is Recruiting a Senior Hospital Pharmacist for Dundalk Hospital.

What You Need to Know:
This is a temporary role (3-month contract) with the potential for extension. The position involves coordination and liaising with Nurses, Doctors, and Dispensary Teams to ensure the highest standard of pharmaceutical care. Salary follows the HSE payscale.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provision of dispensary services
• Delivering a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, including:
  • Medication reconciliation on admission and discharge
  • Prescription review and drug monitoring
  • Interventions to optimize therapy in line with clinical guidelines
  • Patient counseling
  • Identifying and addressing medication management needs to improve patient care
• Ensuring the efficient administration of the Senior Pharmacist function
• Meeting deadlines and maintaining strict adherence to policies and procedures
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
• Staff management and supervision, including in-service training and professional development
• Developing medicines protocols and contributing to pharmacy department planning and performance monitoring

• Strong management and leadership capabilities
• Hospital experience is required, senior hospital experience is preferred

What We Require:

• Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) is essential
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to effectively discharge the duties of the role
