Support Pharmacist - Athlone and Ballinasloe, Co. Galway
What you need to know:
This is a permanent, full-time position offering flexibility around the working schedule. The successful candidate will work 2 days in Ballinasloe and 2–3 days in Athlone, depending on the agreed rota. The role will include working 2 Saturdays out of 4 and the occasional Sunday. You’ll be joining a supportive team environment focused on delivering excellent service to patients. The pharmacy uses the MPS dispensing system.
What you will be doing:
- Provide a safe and efficient dispensing service in line with PSI guidelines and best practice.
- Ensure the safe supply of medicines while offering professional advice and counselling to patients.
- Deliver excellent customer care and build strong relationships with patients.
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to support the day-to-day running of the dispensary.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant pharmacy legislation and procedures.
- Carry out any other duties as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Good communication skills
- Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
- Experience in a busy Irish pharmacy.
