Duties
- Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care
- Assessing and monitoring patients and responding appropriately to their care needs
- Carrying out clinical observations and monitoring patients’ conditions
- Recognising and responding appropriately to changes in patients’ clinical presentation
- Administering medications and treatments safely and effectively
- Supporting patients with their individual care plans and ongoing healthcare needs
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Following all relevant clinical policies, procedures and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing and Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience recognising and responding to changes in patients’ clinical condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts
