Duties
- Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care
- Assessing, monitoring and reviewing patients’/residents’ health needs
- Carrying out clinical observations and recording patient information accurately
- Administering medications and treatments safely and effectively
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living where required
- Monitoring and responding appropriately to changes in a patient’s condition
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals
- Supporting patients and their families with care and communication
- Maintaining a safe, clean and professional care environment
- Adhering to NMBI standards, policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing and Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum 6 months post-registration nursing experience
- Previous experience within a healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, community or similar environment
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong understanding of patient safety, confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Compassionate and person-centred approach to nursing care
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- Registered with Clarity Locums (or willing to register)
